Description: The third edition of the joint study by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on admissions via safe legal pathways confirms this encouraging trend; in OECD countries and Brazil (whose authorities have volunteered to take part in this exercise), over 2 million people arrived via such routes from 2010 to 2021, and positive reforms in different countries have facilitated access to legal entry via regular migration channels for persons in need of international protection.
